I am going to start posting inspirational work that helps get my creative juices flowing – I am going to start this series with Vincent Hachen, a very talented digital artist and game designer based in Brazil. Check out his portfolio for some inspiration.

While looking for some inspiration I stumbled upon Self Made Hero, an independent graphic novel publishing house that started in 2007, currently they have several Lovercraftian items on the illustration line. Looks like they did a comic adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s novella, Self Made Hero’s website, Culbard certainly captures the story in rich shadows and cool shades.

I am looking forward to getting my copy and checking out the other Lovecraft lines from the company.

While wandering the web for environment concept art I stumbled across this amazing young artist from Tehran, Ehsan Dabbaghi. He has a portfolio located at CGsociety: Society of Digital Artists. He has a nice mix of computer graphic paintings, environment drawings, 3d models and more.

The majority of his work focuses on fantasy and environment design.

Today I am going to start what I call the Artist Spotlight Sunday. This is where I will focus on interesting artists, upcoming exhibitions that I feel you will enjoy, and articles about art and those who love it or create it.

I want to use this to share with everyone some of the artists I find interesting and intriguing and people that are looking to break into the world of art and share their vision with everyone.

You will discover new ways to help stretch your imagination, be introduced to new artist, their exhibits, and books to read about them.

If you are an artist and want me to add you to Artist Spotlight Sunday feel free to drop me an email and I would be glad to showcase your work on my blog.
