Audrey Kawasaki is my spotlight artist. Her work has a very precise technical style and is heavily influenced by manga and Art Nouveau.
She can be found on the web at: http://www.audrey-kawasaki.com
She also updates her online journal frequently with new work and work in progress: http://i-seldom-do.livejournal.com/
Where did I go for a week? Work got busy and I have been staying late and not getting to my own personal projects. I know it is not any excuse, I have been working on some new ideas and sketches are going to come back, I promise. The next few sketches are going to be concepts for some paintings I would like to work on in the coming months. I need to catch up. Enjoy!
Fantasy illustrator Andy Hopp is my artist spotlight today. He is well known for his weird creature illustrations and concept art. He has a very unique illustration style that he carries over not only to his drawings and concept art but also to his graphic design work and web design work. His illustrations are showcased in dozens of published games and books, and he has also written several books and organized some fun conventions.
If you are looking for some interesting creature illustrations and monster galleries take a peek at his work.
He can be found on the web at: http://www.andyhopp.com
I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do.
Sorry for the sketches of the day being very sporadic, at least they are close to everyday. I know it is not an excuse. I have been getting a burst than a creative block. I think its this weather pattern, we go from having some sun to being gloomy. Meh. I am trying to keep focused with all my creative stuff, I enjoy it but I need to sit down and hunker on an idea and just get something rolling for everyone to enjoy.

While wandering the web for environment concept art I stumbled across this amazing young artist from Tehran, Ehsan Dabbaghi. He has a portfolio located at CGsociety: Society of Digital Artists. He has a nice mix of computer graphic paintings, environment drawings, 3d models and more.
The majority of his work focuses on fantasy and environment design.
