This weeks Illustration Friday topic is Highlight, what better way to celebrate than to highlight all the featured image graphics at a glance of all sketches and doodles done this year.

Happy New Year to all my Friends, Family and supporters of Alex Likes to Draw!

I am thinking He-Man on this Saturday morning. I will sketch actual He-Man but I wanted to go a little easy this morning and go with his crappy sidekick Orko!

I am going to leave you with a quote from Orko: “[chuckles] Now they can find out what it feels like to have icicles for fingernails.”

You cannot do a tribute to Saturday morning cartoons without having the one and only Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe!

As we all know Snake Eyes never talked so I cannot leave you with a quote from him. Enjoy!

Now I need a brand new black marker. 🙂

Today we get to tribute sketches as I was on a roll this morning: Snarf from Thundercats!

I will leave you with a quote from Snarf “Life’s no fun anymore. The Thundercats are so busy, no one’s got time for a game of hide-and-seek with poor old Snarf.”

Continuing with the Saturday Morning Cartoon tribute we go with the Transformers!

I will leave you with a quote from Optimus Prime: “Autobots, transform and roll out!”

I’ve been listening to some sweet Johnny Cash all day-especially his American IV: Man Comes Around album. So why not do a quick doodle of Johnny Cash.

I miss good ol’ Saturday Morning Cartoons. So I will be doing a tribute to my favorite cartoons, today Thundercats!

I will leave you with a quote from Mumm-Ra “Ancient spirits of evil – transform this decayed form to MUMM-RA, THE EVER-LIVING!” Mocking maniacal laughter follows.

Christmas passed and still no little one. We have a feeling that this is the week that Baby V will enter the world. So to celebrate the anticipation here is a doodle of the Baby. Enjoy!

Here is more gesture drawing with my Brush Pen I did on Sunday. Enjoy!

Forgot to post this yesterday – was running around doing the dreaded Christmas Shopping. Some of you might have seen a preview of this sketch on Sunday, here it is in full. Fantastic Four’s Invisible Woman: Susan Storm. Enjoy!
